The work of the Institute is conducted in accordance with historic evangelical Christianity and with a commitment to be; Missiological in essential focus, directing all reflection towards encouraging the obedience of the church in witness, worship and social and cultural transformation.
Dialogical in outward attitude, encountering alternative world-views and ideologies with the biblical affirmation of the Lordship of Jesus in the Ghanaian and African pluralistic context.
Experience-related in orientation, enabling all reflection to stimulate relevant Christian action in mission.
A community in internal structure, to enable persons to learn in interdependence and in appreciation of the varied gifts that God bestows on the church.
A partner in approach, with all involved in the pursuit of Christian mission, as a learner and contributer, drawing on and encouraging insights of others.
A servant in disposition, to enable resources to flow freely throughout the church, as well as the wider academic community.
